believe it or not, this is a subwoofer. "How is that as subwoofer?" you ask. well, apparently, the fan-like fins move the air in a room similar to the way a conventional subwoofer moves the air in it's cabinet. oh, and apparently, you should only do this in a room you don't actually live in, because the frequencies emitted may apparently cause your head to EXPLODE!
